STIA board meeting set for June 1 in Banks

Banks, Oregon – The Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency (STIA) will hold a board meeting on Friday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Banks Fire District #13, located at 13430 NW Main St., Banks.

Topics on the agenda include an update on the Valley segment of the trail, which runs from Banks through Manning, Buxton and Timber, fundraising updates, establishing a right-of-way review process, and assessing a fiber optic lease renewal.

The general public is invited to attend the meeting, and opportunities to provide public comment will be held during the meeting.

The Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency is a group established in September 2015 to form a framework of government agencies – including the Oregon Department of Forestry, Washington County, the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and others – and is the government entity responsible for promoting and leading planning, development and maintenance of the proposed Salmonberry Trail.
