Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency will host annual Salmonberry Coalition meeting on October 4

Banks, Oregon –  The Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency will host the annual meeting of the Salmonberry Trail Coalition on Thursday, October 4 in Banks. The public meeting runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the at Banks Fire District 13, 13430 NW Main St, Banks, Oregon 97106.

The agenda will include a presentation on the recently completed Salmonberry Trail Valley Segment Plan, updates on fundraising and an assessment of the current STIA governing structure, according to a meeting notice posted by the Tillamook Forest Heritage Trust, the nonprofit organization that handles communications for the Salmonberry Trail.

The Salmonberry Coalition is a stakeholder group composed of private and public partners that formed in 2013 during the initial feasibility study and concept plan of the proposed Salmonberry Trail. The Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency is a governmental outgrowth of that group, formed in December 2015 to form a framework of government agencies – including the Oregon Department of Forestry, Washington County, the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and others – and is the government entity responsible for promoting and leading planning, development and maintenance of the proposed Salmonberry Trail.
