Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency Board meeting set for August 4

Grande Ronde – The Salmonberry Trail Intergovernmental Agency (STIA) board will meet at Spirit Mountain Casino in Grande Ronde on August 4th from 10 am to 1 pm for a regularly scheduled board meeting to discuss issues related to the management and ownership of the proposed 84 mile Salmonberry Trail.  The meeting is open to the public and includes a 15 minute public comment opportunity at the beginning of the meeting and another 15 minute public comment opportunity at the end of the meeting.

The agenda includes a discussion surrounding ownership issues, updates from the Tillamook Forest Heritage trust on marketing, a trail benefits study, and fundraising, and an update on the ‘Valley’ segment of the proposed trail, which stretches from the city of Banks to the former community of Cochran, just west of the community of Timber.
